Passion flower

Here in Arkansas, we are fortunate enough to have this tropical vine growing wild in fence rows. Some people smoke the flowers, claiming they induce a sense of euphoria. I like to eat the seed pulp in the fruit. They are sort of like pomegranates--eat the pulp and spit the seeds. Passion fruit are are locally known as may-pops, or wild apricots. I've also heard, "peach vine." They've never caught on as a commercial food because only one fruit may ripen at a time...but in Autumn, around first frost, you can find them in abundance!
