Hello,
I respond not with a comment but with an encouraging word. Travel is a gift to experience, not for the food or entertainment that most would expect. For Neil, my awsome, creative brother who is loved dearly by all who are so lucky to encounter his presents, travel is for him an appreciation and celebration of life. An oppurtunity to embrace first hand the differences of the world. A chance to analyize and ponder on why we love, who we love, why do we love detroit. No matter what we see and how cheap or costly our travels carry us we or my brother Neil leave a knew place or a familiar place with a sense of emotion. The most beautiful sight ever for i eyes to see will not be remembered by the attraction at hand but will be remembered and an opinion formed by who experienced it with us. The impotance of my statement is defined by no matter where we our, rain or shine, we take the kindness of the people we,ve encountered. We take and remeber the joke our cab driver told us. I'm sorry i forgot the name of the five star restuarant i ate at but i remember the name of the lady selling cicklets because she made an impresion. She welcomed me and appreciated my 5cent purchase of gum. We are lost and for some reason i felt save for a sranger to duide me to my hotel room or for my brother his tent. thanks for sharing your mesquitio repelent. people want to see the world all the most popular destination. Why? good question. Is it to say IWAs THERE. It must be. Do i really want to spend 20 dollars to take an elevator to the top of the Eiffel tower and be treated rudely. For some us but for you Neil and others who may read this its not the destanation that we want is the smile we recieve. Its the appreciation of being there. I ask one thing please remember that there are many good souls who only want to experience other good souls. Take time to welcome, take time to smile, and please open your arms up and value the simplicity of so many travelers who believe in humanity allow us to leave with the memory of what is important, and that is the joy and beauty of meeting new people, it is the joy of trusting, help us leave with the same feeling we came with because we only came to share. A kind word is priceless. Stop and realize how powerful our word and actions can be. We don't need anymore help in tainting our hearts. help us believe and want to continue to have the oppurtunity to gain something from our encounters with eachother. All we really own in this world is ourselves. Charist our power of influence and help keep a smile one our faces. We all leave impressions, make it a good one one that someone as humble as my brother will only make him more humble and giving. Your world and my world excites only from those who thouch it.
